Kenneth Taylor

March 16th 1934 – March 28th 2024

Kenneth passed away early Friday, March 28th 2024 wrapped tightly in the arms of his daughter, Catherine Taylor. He was not afraid for in his eyes he was embarking on another journey. He took every step with a positive outlook.

            He worked most of his life on the waterfront. He started his career on the docks in California and ended it operating a crane in Seattle. He loved every minute of his work life and cherished all of the wonderful people that he met and worked with while doing it. He had so many stories about life on the waterfront. One of his most used phrases was “Do something you love and you will never work a day in your life.”

            He enjoyed many things in his off time. Racquetball, working out, walking around green lake, working on his 1958 Chevy short bed truck but his greatest passion was dancing. He loved every style and took classes in them all. He was always whistling an upbeat tune and shuffling around the room like it was a 1950’s Sock Hop. Continuously trying to improve his skills.      

            That drive to better himself carried through his life in many ways. He was a huge believer in counseling and its ability to heal. Whether it was a weekend workshop or the swing in the backyard, he was always ready to give his undivided mcline509

            His words, stories and living examples will live on forever through the people that knew him, and his family left here missing him. He was a great man and his death will leave a hole in this world.
